STILLING
, J. Ueber das Sehen der Farbenblinden. Two volumes. Text volume: 91 pp. 8vo, 233 x 155 mm., publisher's wrappers. Atlas: 8 colour plates, oblong folio, 235 x 310 mm., loose in new folder with publisher's front and back wrappers laid on, both preserved in a new cloth box. Kassel and Berlin: Theodor Fischer, 1880-1883.

Jakob Stilling (1842-1915) was a German ophthalmologist and professor at the University of Strassburg who invented pseudo-isochromatic charts called "Stilling's colour table," used in the diagnosis of colour blindness. This is the second edition, with 8 pages of plates, as opposed to only 2 in the first edition of 1880. The 2 plates called for in the text volume are not present.

OCLC lists only 2 copies of this edition in the U.S. National Library of Medicine and Northwestern, and 5 copies in Europe.
