A rare Ackermann publication. The twelve hand-coloured aquatints illustrate twelve brides and a grooms wearing different wedding costumes based on local traditions from regions throughout Europe: Austrians, Poles, Spaniards, Scottish, Turks, Russians, Italians, Swiss, Africans, Illyrians, Hungarians and Styrians. They are nicely executed and the colours are fresh and bright. Fine in the original box.
