The Els 4 Gats was a well-known bar that was much frequented by avant-garde artists in turn-of-the-century Barcelona, and was the venue for Pable Picasso's first one-man show in 1900. This book served as the catalogue to an exhibition at the Pable Picasso Museum in 1995, and reproduces the works displayed at the Els 4 Gats, including rarely seen early paintings, drawings, pastels, and illustrated letters, many published for the first time. The author is the director of the pable Picasso Museum in Barcelona and has written a book on Picasso's landscapes, published last year. Announced for September.
