A unique collection of original nineteenth century designs for playing cards from one of the most important manufacturers of playing cards. Between 1844 and 1864 Owen Jones designed no fewer than 173 decks for De la Rue, and his influence can clearly be seen in many of the designs in this album, which were probably produced slightly later. The collection is preserved in immaculate condition.
