In this work, dedicated to the phenomenon of Newton's rings, the author claims that this phenomenon is widely used in the optic industry of the time, to measure the optic surfaces, and why the author, an optician has collaborated with S.Freiberg, the engineer, and V. Zverev, the artist, to explain the phenomenon of the rings as seen in the test glasses. Zverev shows the variants of spectrum that appears on the glasses, if the surface is even, uneven or with the curve. As a result 24 colourful images are shown. Presentation copy from the author to Evgeniy Nikolaevich Tsarevskiy (1904-1995), a distinguished Soviet optician. 1 of 3000 copies. A fine copy in slightly worn wrappers.
