A rare catalogue, designed by Duchamp, for the exhibition which was conceived by Marcel Duchamp, Julien Levy, and Max Ernst. The exhibition brought together a group of artists who were challenged with designing chessmen that differed from the traditional and formal Staunton and "French" sets used in everyday chess and tournament play.
