The rare original edition of this massive photographic survey of Ceylon at the beginning of the twentieth century. The book is divided into chapters written by various experts. It begins with a brief history, and the goes on to cover subjects as varied as the Constitution, aspects of government, archeology and the arts, the natural history of the island, industries, sport and the press. Some minor restoration to the binding, but a generally handsome, sound copy.
