Limited Edition of 1500 copies, with Through the Looking Glass SIGNED by the original Alice, "Alice Hargreaves." The Tenniel illustrations have been re-engraved especially for this edition by Frederic Warde. Printed at the Printing House of William Edwin Rudge. Typography by Frederic Warde.

Alice instantly became a classic and has survived as one of the great books of literature for the simple reason that Carroll's world of nonsense had strange and complex relations with the world of sense. Alice has not only fascinated young readers, but some of the most sophisticated intellects of our time, including Edmund Wilson, W.H. Auden, Virginia Woolf, Alfred Whitehead and Bertrand Russell.
