An important survey of Claude Monet's work, accompanying a major retrospective to be held at the Art Institute of Chicago in July 1995. The exhibiton will be the largest held on this artist in an American Museum in the last forty years, and will bring together Monet's most important works from museums and collections all over the world. Noted art historian Charles Stuckey has contributed an introductory essay and an extensive year-by-year chronology documenting the artist's life.
