First Edition. A collection of patriotic songs by the talented songwriter Charles Dibdin, complemented perfectly by Cruikshank's illustrations. Despite Dibdin's lack of experience at sea, his songs were extraordinarily popular in his time with the public and the British Navy. With bookplate of John Francis Neylan on front paste-down, bookstore stamps of Hunt Books and S. W. Lord. Headcap chipped, spine worn, some very light foxing, a very good copy.
