A beautifully illustrated catalogue of 16th century still life paintings, representing a variety of subjects including floral, fruit, fish and game motifs from both Italian and Flemish painters of the period. Some well-known artists are here, such as Jan Breughel, Archimboldo, and Caravaggio, but the majority of these exquisite paintings were executed by artists either unnamed or unknown. Text in Italian.
