MIRÓ, Joan. Almario. By José-Miguel Ullán. Illustrated with 5 drypoints and an etching with aquatint printed in colours. Folio, loose as issued in the original wrappers and cloth slipcase. Paris: R.L.D. (Robert Lydie Dutrou), 1985.
An extremely imaginative piece of book-making. Printed on beautiful Auvergne paper, this represents one of the rare cases where a great deal of care and imagination have clearly been lavished on the creation of the book, and it is not just a vehicle for Miró's illustrations, which certainly enhance it, but are not the only element by any means.
One of 35 copies containing the signed etching, which is not included in the regular edition of 90 copies. The colophon is signed by José-Miguel Ullán and stamp-signed by Miró who had died before the book was published.
