Limited to 1000 copies, 950 of which are numbered in Arabic numerals (1-950) and 50 copies hors commerce, numbered in Roman numerals (I-L).
This limited edition box includes the exhibition catalogue from the Jeu de Paume in Paris, and three portfolios. Portfolio II is a five-piece full-size reproduction on canvas of "L'Evidence eternelle" (1930). Portfolio III consists of reprodcutions on adhesive paper of the original gouaches (8 prints each) entitled "Biere de porc"(1937) and "Confiture de cheval" (1937). The box itself has a silver-stamped, leather-bound spine, and is slipcased. The cover image is a trompe l'oeil under plexiglass of "La Lunette d'approche" (1963).
This copy lacks
Portfolio I which has three original etchings -"Les Amants" (1928), "Le Viol" (1934), and "La Trahison des Images" (1952) all numbered and signed.
