One of 300 copies, signed by the author and artist. A large format printing of the sequence of twenty-nine poems called "A Coney Island of the Mind". Ferlinghetti's work is at once intelligent, unconventional and humorous, thus making it one of the most popular works of contemporary poetry in the United States. The large format enhances the playfulness of the poems with room for the words to dance around on the page. With handset Goudy Light and Goudy Heavy type on mouldmade Hahnemuhle Bugra paper. As new.

A special copy of this important work by this artist. Books played a very important part in Kitaj's life. He collaborated with numerous poets over the years, but this is certainly his magnum opus as a book illustrator. This is one of 70 HC copies signed by Creeley, and Kitaj who has also signed all the plates, which is not called for. Very rare to have survived intact.
