A catalogue of drawings by Balthus (b.1908) exhibited at the Kunstmuseum, Bern in 1994. New books on this reclusive Swiss artist are rare, and a catalogue devoted to his drawings is especially welcome. This handsomely produced volume covers the period between 1927 and 1983 and includes numerous portraits, still life studies, nudes, and 14 pen and ink illustrations of "Wuthering Heights", many of which appeared in the revue "Minotaure" in 1935.
