Spanish-born designer Cristobal Balenciaga opened his studio in 1937, and in the years after World War II he emerged as a force majeur in the world of Parisian couture. This catalogue covers the period between 1937 and 1968, when his studio closed, and the subsequent revival of the label under Nicolas Ghesquiere from 1996 to the present. This book accompanies the exhibition at the Musée de la Mode et Textile in Paris.
