Dutch-born painter Frans Post is best known for his Brazilian landscapes, real and imaginary, created during his 8 year sojourn there from 1637 to 1644, and afterwards from his studio in Haarlem. The book features all the 155 paintings known to this day, 57 drawings and 35 prints that form his oeuvre.
