In recent years, Lillian Bassman is being redisovered and celebrated as a visionary for her elegant and modern photographs. Working closely with Chuck Kelton, the 32 original silver gelatin prints in this limited edition book are gold-toned silver gelatin prints, bringing out the depth of her blacks. Using archival glues and a Coptic binding, the prints are held together to make a book but retain the integrity of the print. Binding by Lisa Van Pelt; glass box by Larry Gordon of Gordon Stained Glass; The text is set in Garamond and letterpress printed by Mindy Belloff at Intima Press. Signed and numbered by Lillian Bassman and Chuck Kelton on the colophon, in an edition of 10.
